Discovery Center Trip

While the kids and I were hanging out in Tennessee, we found the Murfreesboro Discovery Center.  It was a hands on museum of sorts where the kids had a blast pretending, painting, and creating.  I think that we will have to go back there again when Faith can go with us and show her all [...]

Where Did I Go?

Ok, no secret here.  My life is busy.  Sometimes too busy.  Working on that.  But where have the updates been?  Its been like a week since I wrote on my blog.  I have a lot to write about, and I hope I get to put it all out here soon.  But I have been gone [...]

Global Leadership Summit – Jim Collins

Jim Collins is the author of ‘Good to Great’, a book that I desperately want to read. Here are some notes that I took from his session called, ‘Never, Ever, Give Up’. God is the enemy of Great. Greatness is not a matter of circumstance, but of conscious choice and discipline. No company, organization, or [...]

When Life Gets Too Busy

I find that I write about being busy often.  I sometimes have issues with over committing to things or I manage my time poorly causing my life to feel busy and stressful. I have had a plan in the works to help with all of this, but it is turning into a long term project.  [...]

Goodbye Busy Month of May

I am so glad that it is now June and my calendar has turned over.  May was an extremely chaotic month for Team Walker.  We spent 4 days in Gatlinburg, TN hanging out with family.  On that trip and through the following weeks, we battled viruses and fevers.  This past weekend we went to Toledo, [...]

An Unplugged Weekend

I spent a lot of time this past weekend looking at these. I really enjoyed the break, but now my kids and I are all home sick today.  I won’t post pictures of that.  More to come about my unplugged weekend later.
