Friday Weigh In Week #4

Here are my results for this week.

Current Weight – 276.20 lbs.

Previous Weight – 275.0 lbs.

Total Gain – 1.2 lbs.

It was not a good week for the weight loss. No excuses can really be made. I just didn’t get it done. On a positive note, the elliptical machine is back out and being put to use again. Gaining weight this week should motivate me to try harder next week. I actually check my weight every day and I got to Thursday and just couldn’t make up the difference. Hoping that this will prove to help me during the next week. As promised, I will keep posting good and bad results every week.

Have you thought about using SparkPeople? It's http://www.sparkpeople.com and I've used it on and off for a year or so. I'm really in the groove right now and it's really helping me SEE what I eat. It also helps me analyze if I'm getting too much fat, not enough protein etc.
You can use it as much, or as little as you want

Yeah I like that site, but I have mostly using The Daily Plate because sparkpeople is blocked at my work.

A trainer friend of mine told me a long time ago…Never check the scale every day. At most, once a week. The reasons she states is because if you see that you inched up, it can create stress and with stress your body tends to retain. It is a chemical thing that is way out of my league.

You can do this Chris. Keep positive, keep focused. Surround yourself with folks to keep you accountable.

We are here for you man!

I have enough stress in my life that the scale does little to mess with me, but my response to stress is often to eat or drink. I may try skipping for a week and see how that goes.

Sometimes if you are exercising you gain a little before you lose because you are building muscle. We always tell people not to go as much by the scale as how your clothes fit. After awhile, you will lose more because the muscle will burn more calories…it will happen if you continue! Have a good week!

I think that this week was more because of the opportunities that I had to eat pizza. It is my favorite food and my biggest offender. It is very hard for me to eat that in moderation, but getting better.
