Going Through The Motions

I really like the song Motions by Matthew West.  I posted the lyrics below.  I find it easy to go into a sort of autopilot mode on life sometimes.  Some days it seems it would be easier if I could somehow sleepwalk through my day at work or when my kids are driving me crazy.  It is easy to do that with God too.  Go to church, say a few prayers, and punch your Christian time card.  The problem is that when I joined the the ranks of Kingdom Warriors 12 years ago, I signed up for something real and authentic.  But I still find myself slipping off into the daily grind blending in with the rest of the world.  I realize this will be a constant battle against the “nothingness of life.”  This song is a good reminder to me that I need to keep fighting and not give in to the easy choices.
