I just turned 30 in February and 40 still seems like a long way from now, but looking back to 20 doesn’t seem very long ago. It seems that recently I have been reading about a lot of people who made some kind of a list of things they wanted to do before they turned 30 or 40. I have never made any kind of list of this sort. I was beginning to wonder if I was not very ambitious, but it seems that a lot of my goals are more on the personal development side of things and not really an activity or an accomplishment. So I have decided to make a list of things I want to do/accomplish before I turn 40. This gives me 10 years to tackle some of the things that take a back seat to life more often then they should. I don’t have my list done yet, but I wanted to share a few to get it started. I plan on posting the whole list on the blog and updating when I accomplish something from the list. Here is the start of my list.
- Learn a new programming language that can be used on the web.
- Use that programming language to attempt to build something cool on the web.
- Take a family trip out West. See the Pacific Ocean. See the Rocky Mountains.
- Meet bloggers who I follow in person.
- Take big risks for ministry. I am leaving out details on this one for a reason. I am still figuring it out.
- Become debt free.
This is just a start for me. When I make lists, I make big lists. Just ask Santa.
