Bringing Down The House

KC comes out from the bedrooms tonight in one of her ‘I’m gonna cry’ drama fits.  She tells me that she is scared of Ephriam’s door.  Thinking that maybe they yanked the closet doors off track again, Faith goes to check things out.  She returns to tell me everything looked fine and told KC that she made the scary stuff go away.  So KC returns to the bedroom only to come running back whining again about how she is scared of the door.  So I asked her to show me exactly what she was afraid of.  She pointed behind Ephriam’s bedroom door and to my surprise I found the following.

Now I realize that she was scared of the demolition work that her and Ephriam had accomplished in his bedroom.  I think that she was more afraid of what was going to happen to her when we found out she put a hole in the wall.  KC kept repeating ‘I did it’, over and over again.  We reassured her that she was not getting into trouble, but to prevent her from being scared of what might come out of the hole in the wall, I had to put a temporary fix in place.

Now I get to try my handyman skills at repairing a hole in a plaster wall.  This one should be interesting.  I do not know when I will be able to get to this one because I already have a list a mile long of things that I need to fix around the house.  I feel a Mr. Fixit weekend approaching in the near future.

2 words: spackle, QuickFix. We did about a 3 square foot hole in the wall at our old place. Happy house-fixing! ; )
