Christmas Countdown – 15 Days Left

Do you have any Christmas traditions that you do every year?  Do you go to any parades, events, or have any major gatherings at Christmas every year?  My traditions have changed over the years as my family has moved around and changed.  The newest tradition that my family has added beginning last Christmas was implemented to solve a problem of trying to be in 3 different places on December the 25th.  We now have the Christmas in Louisville tradition with Faith’s immediate family.  Her parents live in Nashville and we live in Cincinnati.  We get to see them in Toledo on Christmas Day, but it is at a very large family gathering.  It is not fun to do a different gift exchange when other people ar not receiving gifts.  We have tried making a New Year’s trip to Nashville, but by the end of the month we are extremely exhausted and traveled out.  The solution: Have Christmas in January and we meet in Louisville.  We get a big hotel room with a kitchen and living space and decorate for Christmas.  It was a lot of fun last year and we were able to really enjoy our late Christmas with everyone.  This works out really well for us and eases the schedule a lot between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  This is just one of many traditions that my family has.  How has your traditions changed and adapted over the years as your family grows?
