I have been following and keeping up with all of the Web 2.0 startups based out in SF for the past couple of years, networking and making new contacts in the world of Technology. Finally it looks as if my Internet addiction has paid off. One of my contacts offered me a position running all of the blogs and social networking applications for a new startup that will specialize in a new free service geared towards Youth Ministries. I can’t share a lot of details right now because they have only just received their funding and are trying to get the project off of the ground. For now I do not need to relocate as I will be able to do all of the work from home, but eventually may need to make the move.
This is exciting to me because it is a good opportunity to expand my career and go deeper into the web 2.0 industry. If this new startup really takes off, it could serve as a springboard to some other ideas that I have been working on. This offer came as quite a surprise to me today as I was sorting through my email and trying to come up with a really good April Fools Joke to play on my blog. And then I got this great idea………….Happy April Fools Everyone!!!!!!
