Key Verse Exodus 8:1: “Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me.’”
Question for Reflections: Why did God save you? What should our response to this gift be?
God saved me because he loves me. Its really very simple. He is not just some overlord with an ego problem wanting the attention from others. He created us. We are his children. I have 2 kids of my own and I would do just about anything for them because I love them. I want them to love me back, not because I am there father and I demand respect. I want them to love me for who I am and because I love them too.
Thinking about worship in this way makes it very clear and simple to me. I don’t worship God at church or in my life because it is required. I ask you, how can you not worship God who sent Jesus to cover the price of your ‘durrty durrty’ sins?
